Rezoning for Housing – Information for the Community

City rezoning

With the approval of Home is Here: The City of Calgary’s Housing Strategy, Council directed The City to implement actions that will address the housing crisis. One of the proposed actions is citywide rezoning. This change will help increase the supply of housing to meet demand. Also, it reduces the costs and timelines for permit approvals. Finally, it allows for greater housing variety and options to suit Calgarians’ needs.
