We’re looking for two motivated individuals to join the Bankview Community Association this summer. These roles are part of the Canada Summer Jobs program and offer a chance to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the community.


Community Content Creator 

Organization: Bankview Community Association
Term: May 18 – August 31, 2026
Hours: 20–30 hours/week
Wage: $20.00/hour
Location:
Calgary, AB (In-person/Hybrid) 

Eligibility 

This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Applicants must: 

  • Be 15 to 30 years old at the start of employment 
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada 
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection 

Position Overview 

Help tell the story of Bankview this summer through creative content, digital engagement, and community storytelling. This role is ideal for someone interested in communications, marketing, and community-building. 

Responsibilities 

  • Create and schedule engaging social media content 
  • Support promotion of community events and programs 
  • Capture photos/video and develop digital storytelling content 
  • Assist with newsletters, posters, and communications materials 
  • Grow online engagement and support community outreach campaigns 
  • Highlight resident stories, local initiatives, and neighbourhood impact 
  • Support event promotion and occasional on-site events 

Qualifications 

  • Interest in communications, marketing, design, or community engagement 
  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva) 
  • Strong writing and creative skills 
  • Photography/video skills are an asset 
  • Organized, collaborative, and self-motivated

Community Services Manager

Position Overview 

Join us this summer to help strengthen community connection in Bankview through programs, events, outreach, and resident engagement. This role is ideal for someone passionate about social impact, community development, and grassroots leadership. 

Responsibilities 

  • Support and coordinate summer community programming 
  • Assist with neighbourhood events and community-building activities 
  • Engage residents, volunteers, and community partners 
  • Support youth, seniors, and inclusion-focused initiatives 
  • Assist with outreach, communications, and resource coordination 
  • Support volunteer recruitment and event logistics 
  • Help track program outcomes and contribute to reporting 

Qualifications 

  • Interest in community development, social impact, recreation, or nonprofit work 
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively 
  • Experience with events, volunteer coordination, or social services is an asset 
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and community-minded
